Michelle Poonawalla participated in 2021’s edition of the Asia Triennial Manchester which investigated how one can build a more compassionate relationship with our neighbours, from the hyperlocal to the international, in uncertain and critical
times of polarising political beliefs, Brexit and Black Lives Matter.
Intimate and immediate, the artist’s postcard is a microcosm, a miniature work of art designed for a specific social purpose – to connect with others. Poonawalla’s work responded to the theme of LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR on a postcard, creating a moving and compelling array of postcards which were displayed in the Manchester Poetry Library.
